Early Life
Kyle was born on a Tepid summers evening on his family farm in the Clyde Valleys to parents Jim and Susanne Driftwood. The Driftwood family were always hard working and had Kyle learning how to work the farms from a young age along with his little brother Keith. They started with the basics like Weeding, planting fruit and vegetables and general maintenance of vegetation before moving on to mechanical maintenance at the age of only 10 (Tractor repairs, Ride on mower repairs etc) then eventually helping with livestock a few years later. Eventually, Kyle grew tired of life on the farm because it was all he knew other than school and yearned for more. He dreamed of a life in the big city and as someone who was always caring, his dream growing up was to become a medic.
Paris and Les Serpentine
On a school trip to Paris at the age of 16 Kyle met a kid of a similar age called Jacque who he immediately hit it off with and became good friends. Jacque was very different from anyone else he had met in his life as he had a bit of a darker side to him. Jacque told Kyle that he was going to be a member of a gang called Les Serpentine. Kyle didn't really know what it would entail but he was eager to find out more. He flew home a few days after finding out about Les Serp and he was consistently thinking about what his life could be like living over there.
Eventually he had enough of farm life and even though it killed him inside a little to leave Keith on the farm himself he got the first available flight out to Paris and met with Jacque. When they walked out to the front there was several burly men all standing outside with flashy, green cars, They joined them in the cars and left.
When they eventually stopped driving they arrived at a big warehouse in the middle of nowhere. As they approached the doors Kyle noticed the handles were custom shaped Snake handles. when the building was entered there was hundreds of people in here. Some were building guns, some were cutting coke, some were cutting down weed plants, all illicit activities which worried kyle, but he was here now, they were taken to a room above the warehouse where they were introduced to Jerome, the Leader of Les Serp. He was a big guy, He made even the most hulking grunt in the building look like a twig but he was always smiling, upbeat and welcoming. He took a liking to Kyle because he loved the Scottish and felt the accent was funny so he always kept him around and showed him a very lavish lifestyle. Kyle when drunk one night admitted to Jerome that he had always dreamed of helping people and wanted to be a medic to which Jerome loved the idea.
The following day Jerome had demanded that some of the warehouse be cleared out so they could set up a makeshift medic wing with medical equipment and the books that would be needed to learn how to use it all. Kyle spent months studying until there was a big turf war with a rival gang and he had to put the studying to the test. People were coming in with bullet wounds, burns, fractions, everything you could imagine going wrong, had went wrong. Kyle had been thrown in the deep end but with the support of Jacque and Jerome they were able to save many lives that day.
Eventually Kyle became more inflicted about what he was doing he was always asking himself "Are we the bad guys?" he decided he wanted to leave. Because he was Jerome's favourite he was sad to see him leave but he understood that this was not in his nature to be "one of the bad guys", so he let him leave on the basis that if he came back, he goes all in. They shook hands and Jerome bought him a one way ticket to Los Santos the same night.
Arriving in Los Santos
Bright faced and bushy tailed Kyle got off his flight and was handed a set of Keys to an apartment in the Alta Street apartments and a new phone "A final gift from Jer" the gentleman said before he walked away.
Kyle made his way up to Alta by foot where he was met by Serenity Reynolds who was pulling stuff out of a van and putting it in another one. They chatted for a while and she eventually gave him access to one of her pickups as he didn't have any transport of his own. He became very close with Serenity and even helped her out with her business The Collectors whenever he could as it was tons of nostalgia for him going up to the farms and doing what he hadn't done in quite some time.
Over his first few weeks he was thinking about what he really wanted to do when he arrived in Los Santos and on the daily he was passing by Pillbox Hospital and decided to stick his head in to introduce himself. This is when he met Jillian Carter who took him for an interview and brought him on board. Kyle was ecstatic and he wanted to put everything he had into the position and ensure that he was able to help whenever possible.
While working in the hospital he quickly made friends with Aurora Tilly and Alexis Sanchez who he seen as family and eventually the rest of the staff at pillbox. They fought through a huge battle with the Savala Cartel arm in arm with the LSPD which he felt made him cherish his life just that bit more.
