Background
Jay "Hux" Huxley, born into a military family in London, England, faced a strict upbringing due to his father, Lance Huxley, being a high-ranking officer in the Royal Air Force. Despite familial expectations, Jay decided to forge his own path and pursued a career in the metropolitan police, fueled by his desire to serve the local community.
The decision created a rift between Jay and his parents, leading to constant arguments between Lance and Lily, Jay's mother. The toxic environment at home prompted Jay to make a life-changing decision and move to Los Santos, a city his mother had once spoken about in relation to a past lover. Once there, he was welcomed by an old friend, now the Chief of Police, who offered him a position as a Police Officer 2.
Jay quickly excelled in his role, making numerous successful arrests and climbing the ranks. During this time, he met Mel Rose, with whom he developed a romantic relationship. Their dates ranged from casino rooftops to arcades, camping, and private moments in various locations. Eventually, Jay and Mel decided to live together in an apartment, also welcoming Mel's adopted son, Timothy Rose, into their family.
His dedication and hard work led Jay to become the leader of the SAHP division and, later, to his promotion as a Lieutenant under the new Police Chief, John Taffer. However, the toll of the job, coupled with death threats aimed at him and Mel, prompted Jay to retire temporarily, vowing to return to the department when he had recovered from his traumas.
Upon his return, Jay Huxley achieved the rank of Commander in the Police Department, working under the leadership of Chief Robert Maxwell. Despite the challenges he faced, Hux remains committed to serving and protecting the city, navigating both personal and professional aspects of his life with resilience and determination.
