Jay "Hux" Huxley was born in London, England, to a Lance and Lily Huxley.
Born into a military family in London, England, Jay "Hux" Huxley's upbringing was marked by the disciplined environment enforced by his father, Lance Huxley, an established officer in the Royal Air Force. However, Jay's ambitions diverged from the family tradition, as he decided to go into his own career in law enforcement.

Jay was born into a military family where his father was a high ranking officer in the Royal Air Force. This lead to a very strict upbringing and a disconnect between Jay and Lance. After leaving school it was expected that Jay would join the Armed Forces and serve for his country but he had already decided that  was not the life for him and set about beginning his training for the metropolitan police. Hux had always wanted to serve his local community but because of the expectations placed upon him, never spoke this through with his family. This caused arguments between his mother and father which lead to years of an unhappy home. Although Jay often stayed out of the way he had heard several comments about him not being Lances son and accusations thrown at Lily.
His decision to join the metropolitan police caused tension within his family, leading to arguments between his parents, Lance and Lily. Determined on his own career, Jay made the life-altering choice to relocate to Los Santos, a city his mother had once had spoken about in connection to a past love affair.

Jay had decided that he couldn't take the toxic environment anymore and decided to move to Los Santos as his mother had once spoken about a vacation she had taken to the city with a former unnamed lover.
In Los Santos, Jay found solace and opportunity, welcomed by an old friend who held a prominent position as Chief of Police. This friend extended Jay an offer to join the force as a Police Officer 2, propelling him into a career marked by achievement.

Once Hux had arrived in Los Santos he was greeted by old friend who had been in the his police academy. The friend was now the Chief of Police and offered Huxley a job in his department as a POII (Police Officer 2), Jay jumped at the chance and spent the next few months climbing the ranks through many successful arrests. Whilst climbing the ranks and gaining weight at Cafe Jay had met Mel Rose and after a couple of attempts at winning her over finally took her on a date. This date lead to many more including casino rooftops, arcades, camping and, 1on1 time any place they could find.
Jay's tenure in the police force saw him rise through the ranks, earning accolades for his numerous successful arrests and dedication tohis role. Along the way, he found love and companionship in Mel Rose.

Hux and Mel Rose now happily live together in their apartment where they are also joined by Mel's adopted son Timothy Rose.
As Jay's reputation and leadership qualities became evident, he ascended to the position of leader within the SAHP division and later earned promotion to Lieutenant under the leadership of Police Chief Jon Taffer. However, the dangers of the job & threats made to his and Mel's safety, prompted Jay to take a temporary retirement to focus on his well-being and recovery.

Sergeant Jay Huxley went on to lead the SAHP division before being promoted to Lieutenant under new Police Chief Taffer.
Upon his return to duty, Jay's commitment and expertise were recognised with a promotion to Commander within the Police Department, working under the guidance of Chief Robert Maxwell. Following Chief Maxwell's sudden departure, Jay found himself under the leadership of Chief Greg Summers, who appointed him as Assistant Chief, entrusting him with pivotal responsibilities in shaping the future of the Los Santos Police Department.

Hux had been working very hard in the department for many months, this was leading to many sleepless nights where he would lay awake with the death threats he had received as well as the threats made to Mel Rose. Hux had decided to retire and recover from his traumas promising himself to return to the department when his mind was in a better place.
Together with Chief Summers, Jay Huxley is dedicated to fostering growth within the department and strengthening partnerships with the community, including collaboration with the Blaine County Sheriff's Office. Their shared vision emphasises effective law enforcement while prioritizing positive engagement with the citizens of Los Santos.

Following his retirement Huxley decided to return to the Los Santos Police Department as a Police Officer III where he holds little responsibility and had reduced his hours dramatically. To keep himself busy he took on the role of the Chief of Fire for the Los Santos Emergency Medical Services & Fire Department.
Heading up the department and holding training sessions is now Huxley's passion. He can be found in and around his fire truck speaking with people daily as well as fighting fires with his team of experienced firefighters.
