Growing up in the UwU Cat Café, born to a mistreated cat named 'Biscuit', Sponky the cat found themselves surrounded by hyperactive people trying to pet them. Repulsed by the odour of customer's coffee breath, Sponky wished for nothing more than to escape the solitary confines of the café. Taking to attacking customers in a desperate attempt to be released to the streets, Sponky teamed up with fellow disillusioned cat 'Wonky' to garner enough heat to get dispelled. The cafe's owner, Mel Rose, saw their unruly behaviour, however, saw this as an opportunity for reform. Mel made the cats her main attraction for petting, giving love, and treats; unknowing that this only grew Sponky's internal rage and suffering.
Having had enough of being hounded by loud customers shouting the cafe's infamous phrase "Have an UwU day!", Sponky discovered a solitary hole in the wall, high up out of reach, and away from the gaze of the zombie-like clientele below. 'Wonky', positioning themselves on the wall opposite, helped Sponky escape being petted for each time a customer went to grab them, the other would pounce. Growing tired of their antics, Miss Rose began to turn a blind eye. For years, the two cats sat atop the café, making it their kingdom, for all the fireplace light touches was theirs.
Sponky and Wonky lived out their early days together but as time went on the two drifted apart due to never being close enough to converse. Sponky's inner loneliness grew once again, and so they turned back towards the distant windows seeking freedom.
Enter Jon van der Linde and The Lost MC.
Seeing the skillset Sponky possessed, attacking customers who entered their territory, Jon wished nothing more than to save the cat from their magenta misery. Sneaking in one afternoon with a burlap sack, Jon encouraged Sponky to come with him who happily obliged for now they were free. Waving goodbye to their old friend Wonky by poking their furry paw through a hole in the sack, Sponky was excited to smell fresh air for the first time in their life. No longer would they get woken up by Mel's constant howls, or pestered by her wannabe suitors, their dream of a world where they could wake up when they wanted, do what they wanted, and be who they wanted, was now a reality.
Entering into a bricked up compound, with jagged barbed wire adorning the fences, Sponky strangely felt safe. Given their own house, bowl, and amenities, they were treated like a King, or Queen, for Sponky never revealed themselves to humans enough to identify a gender, not without taking a hand or two in the process. Ruling over their new domain with an iron claw, they fought off many a beast, whether it be a rat, pigeon, or rival gang member.
Just when Sponky's new found freedom couldn't get any better, The Lost MC graciously decided to move house! Their new home, Stab City, a rusty fortress of sand, trailers, and the odd Mountain Lion, was the ideal environment for Sponky to flourish beyond their wildest imagination. Life for Sponky could not get any better. To this day, Sponky remains the loyal protector of Stab City, defending his new owner's wellbeing, family, and home.
